Waikato Regional Theatre - Accessibility
As part of our ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive and accessible experience for all fans, we are excited to introduce our new initiative: Venue Accessibility Guide. This guide is designed to ensure that fans with diverse accessibility requirements can fully enjoy their experience during events at the Waikato Regional Theatre.
Wheelchair and mobility seating is available at each level of the auditorium with a total of eight wheelchair/mobility seats/positions throughout the venue.
Patrons using a wheelchair may choose to transfer into a seat or remain in their wheelchair.
For standing General Admission (GA) events, wheelchair positions are available on the Circle Level to provide the best possible viewing experience.
Every wheelchair/mobility patron can have one companion.
Adjacent blocks of seats are available to book for groups close to the wheelchair/mobility seat/bay area depending on availability.
Mobility or wheelchair seats are able to be booked online for most events. If you have any further requirements or have any enquiries, you will need to contact Ticketmaster on their direct mobility line to purchase mobility seating.
Tickets for accessible seating can be purchased via:
Ticketmaster Website, OR;
Contact Centre: (09) 970 9711, OR;
Email: customer.service@ticketmaster.co.nz
Please note, for each ticket for a wheelchair space purchased by a disabled individual or another person at his or her request, one additional ticket in the same row and contiguous with the wheelchair space shall be made available for purchase (provided they are available at time of purchase). We will provide solid seat as the companion seat in wheelchair accessible reserved seating areas.
Pick up and drop off is located outside the front of the venue at 198 Victoria Street.
Trained team members will accessible via our Box Office.
Hearing Aid Loop is the audio description service.
We recommend close seating for patrons who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Service animals are allowed to be seated with patrons; however, no dedicated seats are provided.
No dedicated indoor toileting facilities are available for service animals.
